RP: YSS Kaiyō Mission 36: Kōsaten no Hoshi

The reassurance that her uniform was just fine had a good effect on Asuka, though she had to admit that as much pride as she had as a Rikugun, her attire did stand out. A mixed blessing, that, but there would be time to deal with it later. Hopefully.

Having been on board for a while longer, the passageways weren't quite as unfamiliar, but still felt... not quite home. Perhaps nothing would be, but for now the scent of a well cooked meal overrode most other concerns. Looking about, she then took her seat near the foot of the table, and waited for an indication it would be polite to start eating. Hopefully not too long. Feeling herself tensing up, she forced herself to relax the set of her shoulders as she listened to Aiko's words and looked at the other faces around the table, some more familiar than others. Most, though, seemed relaxed and confident, and surely she'd had enough reason to share at least some of that confidence. She was no longer the green as grass rookie, but she was painfully aware she had a way to go until she was as combat seasoned as they were.

Which was fine. She was rather looking forward to getting some more experience, and ridding the universe of a few more Mishu. Preferably both at the same time, and ideally, as Aiko pointed out, while returning her CO to her rightful place.

Despite the circumstance the ship found itself in with it's lost captain, Rio felt a sense of relief as she once more walked the halls she considered home with Sif and Molli. Regarding her plans after their meal Rio shrugged while she plucked at the new black panel of her uniform jacket "Depends on what's said in the briefing. I may need to stay after the fact. I'm not really sure." Despite having a smile on her face, her voice held a slight hint of uncertainty to it.

Naturally Rio joined Molli and Sif at a table. Rio gave a quick glance around the wardroom at faces new and old before focusing on Aiko as she began her speech. The happy expression Rio had held in the hallway faded as she listened to the Princess's words, replaced with one of cold determination. Absent thanks to her training Rio was now eager to join the hunt for her missing Captain.

"I see," Sif scratched her chin, a hint of disappointment in her voice, which was quickly overpowered by optimism when she continued, saying, "Well, it's not like we'll be too far apart now that we're here." Seating herself at the table with Rio and Molli, she looked over the food and practically felt her mouth start to water. The scent had already enticed her before laying eyes on them, but food would have to wait while Aiko delivered her speech.

The fate of their captain was still shrouded in mystery, and time being as precious as it was when the Mishu were concerned, Sif would have been a nervous wreck if her advanced training hadn't been keeping her focused on something else and leaving her too exhausted at the end of the day to dig through her mind. But now she was back on the Kaiyo, and Hoshi was brought back to the forefront of her mind. Her nerves reared their heads like a dragon peering over a tower's crenellations to stare her down. Even as she was armed with new techniques--no, it was because she was armed with new techniques that she felt nervous. Nervous of failing, of not living up to her captain's expectation.

Yet she had walked these embers before, soles scorched and tempered through trials. The nerves may never fade, but she was going to face it head on. Because giving into fear was infinitely worse.

"Although Captain Hoshi's precise whereabouts remain unknown," Aiko began, starting the briefing now that most of the crew had settled in somewhere, "the tireless work of Star Army Intelligence has ascertained for us the location of the XSS Brakkamorggil, the ship that spirited her off and away from Rabaal all those months ago."

The princess peered at Erika and Charbon, and then suddenly around the table less appraisingly. "Please," she said as an aside, sweeping her open right palm across the feast spread across the table. "Eat. There is no need to hesitate now." Most of those present, of course, had shared many meals as a crew, but rarely alongside a briefing. As much as Hoshi had enjoyed hosting such mixed-purpose occasions, the Kaiyō II's since the Battle of Elysia had often sprouted from the moment and left mission planning standing separate from such banquets. And then, not skipping a beat, the acting captain resumed speaking.

"Charbon's defection has provided much knowledge of the Mishhuvurthyar she once served," Aiko explained, staring again at the NMX Neko defector. "Our continued operations in Abwehran space, too, have brought us closer to finding Hoshi. The information, in small bits, has kept me hopeful for months that the Taisa would be found through the next door kicked in by Byrne-hei. Or perhaps on the other side of a hyperspace jump waiting in a new system the last directed us toward."

Aiko glanced up to the volumetric display and wordlessly sent a wireless command for one of the Mishhu ship schematics to enlarge.

"After we enter the Brakkamorggil, we will proceed here to the security station," the princess declared, pointing with two fingers at a compartment in the holographic ship schmatic that bloomed with a brighter teal highlight. "There, one of you will access the ship's systems and retrieve any data on Hoshi. If she is aboard then we will take her immediately. Otherwise, with their telemetry and logs in our possession, we will be nearer than ever to retrieving her."

She crossed her arms and surveyed the room with her scarlet gaze that seemed bright even in the dimmed atmosphere. Not yet ready to take questions or leave too many unanswered, she kept going.

"The Brakkamorggil is located with its fleet, however," Aiko said. "We cannot simply fly Kaiyō in and board her. Instead, I intend to commandeer an enemy patrol vessel. Using Charbon's expertise, as well as that which several of you garnered whilst posing as NMX Nekovalkyrja on planet Bellflower, we will pose as our enemy once again and take control of their ship from the bridge by way of infiltration."

The volumetric display switched focus from the Brakkamorggil and enlarged a different class of Mishhu vessel.

"It will be simple for our team to defend the bridge if necessary," the princess concluded. "Then we are onto the Brakkamorggil, as was explained at first. I am confident we will be able to exfiltrate once our ultimate goal is accomplished."

Unfolding her right arm, Aiko pointed the same two fingers she'd used earlier at Erika.

"The seeds of this plan were developed at SAINT in some part, I am told, by Elster-shoi," the Kitsurugi princess proclaimed. Her eyes only followed the vector of her arm and met Erika's golden stare after she spoke. "I trust Kasa and the other kuroneko have calculated how best to intercept our new ship?"

William made an effort to greet everyone as he made his way back over to his own command staff. The Sokolov brothers had been his right and left hand men for quite some time now, and the 3 ID-SOLs made for quite the site on the Kaiyo. William was surprised to see an old face appear in the briefing. "Well, look what the cat dragged in." He said giving a friendly salute to Isuke. "It's been awhile." He remarked simply as he made his way through.

The marines took up a position against the far wall. None were all that hungry at the moment. Not when there were battle plans to formulate. Commander Dmitri Sokolov cleared his throat once Aiko had opened the floor to questions. "Exuse me, Chusa. What will we be doing durning your infiltration. We aren't the sneakiest trio, that's for sure." At this Yuri chuckled, but before he could make a wise crack a glare from William shut him up instantly.

"The Mishhuvurthyar employ fighters from many species these days, Dmitri-san," Aiko grinned despite her tone remaining steady as she unconsciously responded to his and Yuri's imprudence in the face of William's correction. It was fine, of course; she'd bonded with William's ID-SOL companions over obscene deadlift bets and pistol trickshots enough times to take such in stride. "Perhaps you'd prefer to play as our newly captured chattel. We can drag you two along in chains. But Major Sanders will likely want you on quick react duty, set back a few astronomical units and waiting to save us with squad of Cyclops Armors. Or even here guarding Kaiyō with the rest of us gone."

Erika took a breath. She pushed the dish away from her so she could clasp her hands together on the table without staining her uniform with food. She also had to take a moment to stop her eyes from sparkling as she looked at Aiko, “childhood” propaganda surrounding the princess still having an effect on the ‘Kuroneko’. “If you’re referring to the mission plan, I submitted to SAINT, its fairly kinetic.” She said casting a glance at William. “Plenty of opportunity to get your feet wet, Major, if that's what we're going with.” She tilted her head slightly and requested a connection uplink to the ship so she could add some things to the volumetric display. The first was a wide shot of the sector with several red dots marked out at semi regular intervals. “Information from Charbon’s interviews suggest that Taisa Hoshi would be used as an experimental candidate for advanced psionic research. In addition, the data Major Sanders and the NSN component of Task Force 282 have submitted to us has been analysed and we’ve managed to determine the patrol routes of several corvette sized vessels which the NMX have forward deployed to act as screening, observation and early warning against Allied offensives. Additionally. According to Charbon they have a constant uplink via Hyper Coms to their command ship, however, should this fail they are to immediately return to their central fleet and report.”

The volumetric display zoomed in on one of the red dots, showing small Mishhuvurthyar ship. There was a quick animation where a blue Fuji class appeared in front of it and small blue and green dots began flying from it.

“The idea was to exploit this protocol. We place an observation probe along a patrol’s projected path, programmed to send a hyperspace burst of telemetry to the Kaiyo upon detection of an enemy craft, and then pinpoint jump into its proximity. The Kaiyo commences hyperspace jamming and projects a graviton beam at the NMX corvette, preventing it from forming a hyperfold field and jumping away. If we can get sensor resolution in the ship we teleport over, if not we take a space walk and cut through the hull. Once aboard we pacify the ship. The corvette can suffer some battle damage and have its weapons disabled, but it must remain mobile and Hyperspace capable. Once the ship is secure Charbon will pacify the NEUCLEON system, which will have started a self-destruct sequence when it becomes evident we’re likely to take the ship." Her eyes darted around to those assembled around her for a moment. "5 Minutes silent count down if you’re wondering. She will then show us where a secure case is that contains hard copies of the challenge codes NMX commanders are meant to use upon unscheduled contact. Techs will have to bypass the security systems on the container. While they do that, we load the corvette up with jamming equipment, a teleport rescue pod, several battery banks and a large bomb.”

The image then changed to that of the fleet in question, an estimate of fleet composition. Cruisers, frigates, battleships, with one of the larger ones highlighted.

“Phase II begins with us jumping into proximity of the fleet the XSS Brakkamorggil is part of. We announce that we were engaged by the YSS Kaiyo and retreated. We also say that in the skirmish we were able to capture a SAINT operative. Analysis suggests that by doing this rather than be vectored towards a support ship for repairs, we will be directed to the hub of psionic research within the fleet as SAINT conditioning is highly resistant to psionic control and such an operative would allow for the gathering of very valuable data in relation to their psionic development.”

The display then zoomed in on the highlighted ship, the image of the corvette moving towards it before finally merging. The blue and green dots became visible again. One left the group and headed towards the larger vessel, heading towards its core.

“We dock with the ship and give up a SAINT, track them to the labs. The ship will likely be boarded by repair crews, so the majority of the raid team will have to keep a low profile until the SAINT’s locator beacon settles. Once the SAINT gives the signal, connection with the location beacon ceases or settles for longer than 5 minutes, the raid team will conduct a surgical strike to reach the last ping of the beacon. At the same time, the jamming equipment we place aboard the corvette will begin transmitting, with broad spectrum jamming which will hopefully confuse their defensive response while we can still talk. Once there we take whatever we can get. Battery banks are to be hooked up to servers, so we don’t have to power them down for transport which should make decryption easier. If we find Taisa Hoshi, we load her up into the rescue pod for safe teleport extraction. If we don’t, the server banks should have data on other facilities dedicated to psionic research which will provide additional leads. We then teleport out as far as we can at a vector 90 degrees perpendicular to the galactic plane for collection by the Kaiyo.”

The animation showed the blue and green dots in space, being collected by the blue Fuji-class shaped hologram.

Erika took a breath and cleared her throat. “Now I know what you’re thinking, there is a lot of ‘analysis suggests’ and assumptions of enemy behavior. Aborting should be fairly trivial until we’re actually in the fleet proper. The jamming equipment we’re taking aboard will give us a solid shot of escaping the fleet if we’re discovered before docking. Once we’re docked well…" She shrugged "I’ve read some of your mission reports. I’m confident that this crew can handle it.”

Isuke had been eating well enough when she was out and about, but of course, eating with the crew just made everything taste better! There really was no substitute for that kind of thing. She made sure to flash a smile and return a friendly salute to William as she munched on some food.
"Too long I feel. But well, that's how things go sometimes, eh?"

She considered that the statement 'what the cat dragged in', could be taken pretty literally in the Star Army. Being dragged in by a Neko didn't sound too bad, but it would probably look pretty bad if she had been. She quietly snickered at the idea of the ID-SOL's being brought along as pretend slaves though.

As for the plan... the Lorrfolk couldn't find anything wrong with it on paper. Although, the odds of everything going according to plan... always a pretty unrealistic expectation. It'd be nice for sure, but reality often liked to be much less forgiving. At least that was all being taken into account.

"Any ideas of worst case scenarios? And do we have any emergency assets we could potentially call in if things get bad, but we're not in a position to easily withdraw?"

"Entering the ship with minimal indication of a boarding action," Charbon piped up in her nasally accent, "might be for the best. After all, you want to raise no suspicion upon re-joining the fleet, yes? Your ship will be inspected if it has been boarded and they are heavily protected against teleportation in this era, you will not be getting in that way. Your only other proposed option is cutting a chunk out of the hull and then, what? Soldering it back on?"

"Would you bring up a starmap of this Northern Sector?" Charbon asked, looking at the ships being projected, waiting. Asuka looked hesitantly to Aiko, then nodded and the shimmering blue projections changed to the section of space above core Yamatai's North Easterly sector. Nepleslian Lorath territories were to the West and Independent sectors to the East of the Abwehran territories.

"Maybe these maps seem more familiar than they did at first glance. I would suspect once veering out of the Two-Jaspis spaceway in the East here that there are refueling depots here or here tucked into the ice or asteroid belt." She pointed out some areas of space. "Slip us onto one posed as a relief team and wait for your buoy to alert you of the patrol craft and then you are on the ship. With whatever battle damage the Kaiyo wants to inflict after you are already on the NMX craft, no less."

"Then we do the rest of your plan, I pacify NUCLEON, you pacify the ship." She opened and closed her hand next to her mouth and with a raspy hiss she added, "Yada yada."

Erika turned to Isuke"The corvette will be loaded with an explosive device. The idea is that once we’re done, we leave a big gaping hole in the side of the Brakkamorggil, but in a worst-case scenario? I don't know about you, but I don't relish the idea of being a Mishhuvurthyar POW.” She tilted her head slightly “Make sure your backup is up to date.” Erika let out a soft, short and sardonic chuckle before continuing. “If we spook them on approach, there is the option of ramming the Brakkamorggil and just going in hard and fast.” The display changed to a course plot through the fleet. “Depends on the fleet composition as to when that’s not an option, an option, or the only option, I’ve got a simulation and equation I can plug in that’s light enough to run on a 33A’s internal AIES.” The course was marked with 2 points, one labelled point ichi and the other point ni, closer to the ship “The jamming equipment we’re loading can also be used to confuse targeting sensors, increasing the odds of us making it though. If we do it that way though, it will be a lot messier. As for additional fleet assets, we’ll have them on the back foot if this pans out, so I’ve recommended if we go ahead a strike force is ready to go. However, such a large formation would spook the NMX fleet if it was assembled too close to them. As to if they’ve actually been provisioned? The Chusa might have a better idea.”

Erika then turned to Charbon, lips thinning slightly as she offered up more information at the 11th hour. She took a breath. “My idea was to go in quick and not give them the chance to organise a response. The plan is already fairly complicated. Saying that,” She sighed “the longer we can avoid kinetic engagement, the longer we can exploit them being at low alert levels.” She tilted her head again, more thoughtfully this time. “We won’t have to inflict as much battle damage either. But that does change some aspects. My extraction plan originally called for us all to be in pressurised suits. Those posing as crew during the board would have Mindys hidden away. We’ll have to use beacons to cut through the sensor jamming, and the Kaiyo can collect us by swooping into range when we’re ready to go.”

Molli lost her appetite as the volumetric displays of the ships they'd be boarding glimmered to life in the darkness, bringing back disturbing memories of flesh-covered hallways, pitiful victims, and a painful encounter with her first Mishhu. The Brakkamorggil, which she decided to shorthand with 'Brakk,' somehow looked more intimidating than any other Mishhu ship Molli had ever seen before. Whether it was its harsh-looking design or the crew that were capable of spiriting away a highly-guarded captain, Molli didn't know, but apprehension gripped her heart more tightly than any newly-commenced operation had before. What fresh horrors awaited them inside, and if Hoshi was held captive there, what terrible ordeals did she endure over the past few months?

Setting aside her half-finished tray, Molli tried to follow along with the complex, multi-stage plan laid out before them; a task that wasn't helped by her less than stellar intelligence compared to a digital minded Neko. Aiko made it sound so simple: board an enemy ship, impersonate the crew, sneak aboard the Brakk, take Hoshi back, or otherwise retrieve more intel on her whereabouts, and escape. Most of the crew had some experience with missions that resembled several steps of that plan, and Molli herself felt confident she could recall her brief NMX experience to make a convincing disguise.

Erika's 'kinetic' plan earned her a quirked eyebrow from the Nepleslian, who raised her hand at the end of the spiel. Without waiting to be called, she voiced her concerns, "Ah ent feelin' confident wiv all that analy-sis," Molli said, confirming what Erika suspected she'd take umbrage with. "These squids ent idiots, 'n ah reckon they'll think itsa bit dodgy t'hear summat engaged th'ship their captive were on, wiv ah PoW what brings us closer tah their psyke-oh test subject." It was a plan that, in Molli's mind, relied on a shaky bluff that anyone in the room would find suspicious, were they on the receiving end.

"'N what if th'repair crews find th'equipment we load up?" Molli continued, metal fingers tapping the table, "Th'whole thing's ah bust. 'N th'SAINT, we're hopin' they ken do their job alone?" She had a vague inkling that SAINT was full of competent infiltrators, but sending one in solo as a prisoner just seemed like a monumental task. "Ah dunnae think th'big boom's th'right call--s'good enough if we get Hoshi out, or intel on 'er."

"The idea behind the explosive was multifaceted." Erika said, turning to Molli. "But the main idea was if we're using our own jamming equipment, we do not want that falling into enemy hands once we're done. So while we're at it we can use it to cause some damage to the Brakkamorggil. We could forgo, but that increases the risk if we have to go kenetic. A detected infiltration team in the middle of an enemy fleet who can co-ordinate an effective response? I don't calculate good odds."

"As for our reasoning. Taisa Hoshi was an opportunistic capture for them. There is no reason to suspect protocols for that have changed, and SAINT operatives undergo specialist training to make us more resistant to..." Erika looked for better words than torture and mind control "enhanced interrorgation. If they have new psionic techniques the amount of data they could gather from a case study with a SAINT, even if it ultimately failed, is monumental. Even with all that in mind, you're not wrong, its a gamble. The odds we've calculated are probably better than the ones you're thinking of, but its still not a sure thing."

"With that in mind, the goal is to recover Tasia Hoshi. We are almost completely certain that she'd be used as a test subject in their psionic research, and we know that a good part of that research is being conducted in that fleet, and likely on that ship." She pointed at the holographic image of the Brak "We have no other leads at this time, at least ones that have been revield to me, and the intel Charbon has given us has an expiry date. A fleet level enguagement could result in the destruction of valuable data, and we could loose any hope of finding additional leads. This is what I came up with, and considering we're talking about it, no one else has come up with a better idea at even a shot at getting close. If you do have suggestions though, I'm very ready to listen." She said, genuinely, and looked back towards the screen, swallowing as silently as possible. "I am not looking forward to being under the tenticles of whatever Mishhu quack who thinks themself a scientist."

Aiko listened to Erika, Isuke, Charbon, and Molli in turn, looking between the women with just her eyes when each of them spoke. She'd heard the long-and-short of Erika's scheme before, as well as several others formulated by Task Force 282's command section and even some only she, Boss, and Deio-taii were privy to. Now, even as the moment of action finally approached, the details of a plan she and the crew could actually put into action remained in flux.

"This new information from Charbon is particularly relevant," Aiko said with an air of finality to the statement in the way any good leader does when they've made up their mind. "We will find more success laying in wait as an away team at the Mishhuvurthyar refueling point and boarding peaceably under cover of disguise. Molli is correct: too much equipment will give us away. The team must travel light. No power armor. Uehara-hei can bring along a compact high-yield aether explosive in the event that we need it — although I do not think the mission will require it — and another among our number will need to carry a kero kero remote receiver that has been packed away and concealed."

Aiko absolutely refused to say "Froggy" under any circumstances.

"The new teleporter array will enable our escape," the princess added. "I believe this leaves the second phase of SAINT's general plan intact, Elster-shoi. Subterfuge will permit us to take the scout ship's bridge without any, as you said, 'kinetic engagement.' You have witnessed this crew pass as the enemy before, and we have undertaken similar clandestine operations in the past, so I am sure our performance will not fail to impress on this occasion. It is key is for us to take the enemy scout ship and then use it to approach the Brakkamorggil. The rest of it relies on that success, and we will be in a superior position to react after it is under our control."

Prompted by Aiko's mental order, the volumetric display hanging above the wardroom's table wiped away the maps and replaced them with dozens of friendly vessels.

"I assured Yui-taisho that I would not pull in entire fleets to aid the cause of finding Hoshi," the Kitsurugi princess said. "But Task Force 282 follows me. We have three Rikugun legions, a Nepleslian battlegroup, Star Army battleships and scouts and gunships, and a fresh Uesureyan squadron at our backs. Not to mention the Kaiyō herself. We can accomplish this ourselves, Ichidou-san, and will," Aiko asserted, grinning toward Isuke while giving a sweep with her left hand at the display, "but in the 'worst case' all of this will arrive beside us at my signal.

"And if Hoshi-taisa is before us but entrenched by such enemies that the Kaiyō's team alone cannot take her back, then I will call on them anyway."

Charbon placed her hands on the table on either side of her tray stacked with the untouched, filled gourd to speak after the Yamataian princess. "I will need special access to the fabrication bay to create uniforms. If you are to blend in, you must look the part, yes? Any volunteers to watch over me there?"

Under her breath she snappily said to Erika, "Do not worry, I have not tired of you."

"Ah'll watch ya," Molli said, flatly. That she worded it that way instead of saying 'watch over you' was deliberate; she'd not lost her distrust of the former overseer yet. "Do we still got m'NMX bod?" Molli asked to anyone who might know, "Ah'd prolly blend in better wivout m'accent." There was plenty of risk involved with becoming Myga again, most notably the uncharacteristic trouble with her own identity, but Molli figured that she could handle such a dissonance, given she wasn't a week into acclimation with the enemy.

"Is being watched over by Myga Ghorne amenable to you?" Charbon asked her handler, looking to Erika with a side-eye that was ready to snap back to Molli.

Erika sat back in her chair and let her gaze drift over to Charbon, exhaling as she did. "That will be fine. I will be joining you anyway. I've got a knife I want to make a few modifications to," Her eyes flicked to Molli. "But if you two want to get started while I put my nice uniform away and grab it, no objection."

"None of you are under any obligation to undergo Soul Transfer to another body for this mission," Aiko clarified. "The extent of our subterfuge should not require such rigorous measures. We must merely keep the appearance of Mishhuvurthyar soldiers long enough to take the patrol ship's bridge. I would not want any member of this crew going into combat wearing a body they are not completely comfortable utilizing, and your current forms have served you well in battle thus far."

"Nothin' looks like'n NMX more'n ah Neko," Molli replied, "Ah'll be fine, it'll come back t'me, like ridin' 'n airbike." She choose to take Aiko's suggestion as just that--a suggestion over a direct order. For a mission as monumental as rescuing the Captain, Molli wanted to be at her absolute best, and that was in the form of a hyper-lethal body and mind that didn't need to strain itself to keep up with everyone else. A body and mind that, for all their initial hassle, felt far more comfortable to inhabit than her original one; a hideous amalgamation of metal and mutated flesh.

It figures that the mission she was returning to was going to be high stakes, but given the time passed and the unknown nature of the procedures related to the mind control experiments, Sif had her doubts but she was far from daring enough to put those ideas forward. What if Hoshi was already compromised? The image of the pink captain above the water on the mission that they lost her flash to her mind's eye. It was an illusion at the time, but what if they saw the same thing with the real captain? The first priority would be to secure her, but if her state of mind was altered, not necessarily compromised, how would it be best to approach?

Worst case scenario, they'll have to forcibly restrain her, knock her out. A step below that, Hoshi is semi lucid and lashes out at the crew since they're donning NMX uniforms. And that's if they get through the earlier parts of the plan. There were numerous contingencies made by people more experienced, and Sif chose to trust in those. She'll just have to make it work, though the mindset wasn't quiet there yet, even with the new tricks she's learned.

Deep in thought, Sif stopped eating with the spoon in her mouth. With the visuals provided in the briefing now etched in her memory, she ran some simulations -- daydreaming, really -- on the best and worst cases, then trying to find the middle ground which would theoretically be the most likely scenario. One problem though. Her data was stale. She couldn't just guess how things would go without seeing how everyone's fighting styles changed. So was it back to the drawing board? Maybe not, but perhaps it wasn't the best idea to start predicting how others would act. She wasn't a pipe-puffing detective.

Then a thought occurred to her as her gaze drifted over to Charbon, then over to Molli as she suggested STing into her NMX body. "We can't ignore the possibility that our faces and voices are going to be recognizable. As Nekos, we'll be able to augment our looks without issue. The Revenger we fought, she mentioned scanning memories. There's a risk they might have tried using something like that to extract information from the Captain. Just wearing enemy uniforms might not be enough. And even if they're not able to scan the Captain's memories, the enemy has seen our faces a number of times, heard our voices. We caused a non-insignificant amount of trouble for them, so I doubt they're not keeping notes."
