OOC YSS Kaiyō II Discussion

I want to get our mission JP up and running in September. I plan and hope we can do two days a week and it might take a few weeks. Please vote on what days of the week will work for you in September. You can expect us to start after 3 pm PST and try to run for as long as possible each day, but the time can be pushed later (such as start at 7 pm PST, etc).

 
I am thinking a SOFT unit would be a good way to push the plot and give us story opportunities outside of main missions. The requirements are that you are down to have your character wanted within the Kuvexian sectors of space and can post a little quicker than once a week/are able to JP.

Here is who I think makes sense and where. If you've been tagged and don't want the OOC and IC role of posting and being badass, respectively, lemme know. What's more, "N/A" are not roles that need filling.
  • 1 Team Leader - leads the team and fights. Usually an NCO, but can be an officer. Usually the team diplomat. (N/A)
  • 1 Combat Engineer - gets the team through doors and technological obstacles and traps. (Chlorate) @Noodlewerfer
  • 1 Heavy weapons guy - suppresses the enemy with firepower. Crowd control. Tank. (Kara "Gravity" Sifsdottir) @Blizzard
  • 1 Stealther/Sniper - The “rogue” of the party. Sneaks ahead or provides overwatch. (Wyatt Fujiwara) @SirSkully
  • 1 Medic - heals the team or persons being rescued as needed. (N/A)
The fire team's support team consists of:
  • Team Commander - Assigns objectives, provides advice. Always an officer. (Taiyou Hoshi)
  • Supply Specialist - She gets your supplies and also flies your shuttle. (Yoshinaga Narumi) @demibear
  • IT Guy - Uses sensors to map stuff for the team. Sometimes can hack enemy computers. (Sakura Sjet) @SchererSoban
 
Friday and Saturday really seem like strawpoll winners so another for time. I'll run until this one util tomorrow and we'll start with whatever time works for the most people


The SOFT mission I mentioned will take place after this mission both IC and OOC.

It was a joke in reference to Mikael. But know Narumi becomes a triple threat with flying lessons. Haha
 
I wanna let kaiyo players know we'll be jping again next weekend at the same time and days (friday and saturday at 7 pm PST)

We JP'd for like, four and half hours yesterday and three and half tonight! That's pretty rad imo!
 
We'll be jping the first Sunday and Monday of every month going forward @everyone on Kaiyo. First session is 4/5th of October- in a week.
 
Sorry for holding you up, Ame. As you know I've been unwell. Should be able to reply quickly, now, so we can get through post-21 and catch up.
 
Getting caught up! The new art is cute AF, Ame! Thanks for doing that for everyone. Scrolling through the crew page has been awesome.

Hey thanks, Whisper! Scrolling through the crew page while writing posts and being able to put faces to the ranks n names is super helpful for my brain, believe it or not, so that was a major reason to get art next to making peeps happy to see their characters!

I have no clue when the next single post thread/ place to slip in would be but it's not now. We're doing an assault JP that I have sorta long plans for so I am trying to keep my head down and focus on that rn rather than rush to the next thing.

The Quiet thread is still open, though! Feel free to do things there @ anyone!
 
I'll see about hopping in on that thread and keep an eye open for when I should get in on other stuff. Thanks for the heads up. :D
